Hi! I’m Dr. Douglas Kim, founder and board-certified orthodontist at Smile Story Orthodontics. It is a tremendous privilege to serve the community where I grew up and call home. My promise is to treat you with the same compassion, honesty, and detail that I would with my own family.

Visited for a consultation about closing a small black triangle that I’ve been trying to close for a while. I’ve had treatment with two other orthodontists to date, both of which are too far away from my new place to reasonably visit on a regular basis. The more recent one referred me here—the doc previously worked with Dr Kim.

I made my appointment online using the website scheduler and someone from the office called the next day to confirm a few details.

Parking was available when I showed up to my appointment the following Saturday and glad to say that the office is sparkling new.

The front desk person was really nice. She remembered me from the previous week when we spoke on the phone. Check-in was smooth overall.

After about a 15 min wait, they took some photos of my teeth and I sat down to talk to the doctor shortly afterwards.

He listened to the history around my previous treatment. Some questions here and there. There was one I didn’t know the answer to and he said he would call my dentist to confirm.

Since I’m trying to get rid of a dark triangle between my front teeth, the doctor provided a couple different options. He was patient as I had a bunch of questions. Answered them all very thoroughly said to call or email back if any more questions came to mind.

I didn’t talk to the office staff too much about pricing but they gave a quick overview. Nothing surprising based on my dental insurance plan.

Glad I went. Just debating whether I want to go for a third round of treatment.
