How Do Clear Aligners Work?
- An intraoral scan is taken to obtain digital models of your teeth.
- Dr. Douglas uses the digital models to set up your customized treatment.
- Attachments are bonded, and you will receive your aligners in-office.
- You progress through the set of aligners, wearing each for 7-10 days or as instructed by Dr. Douglas. The aligners must be worn for 22 hours a day. You remove them only to eat, brush, and drink anything other than water.
- In-office progress checks are scheduled every 8-12 weeks.
